What are you doing now:
On a full-time level, I'm the Video Production Specialist for the City of Naperville, Illinois. We educate and inform residents through our government access channel. On a freelance level, I am an EVS replay and camera operator for U.S. Cellular Field and Trio Video. I've worked broadcast games for various sports teams including the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, UIC, and Northwestern University.
Fond memory of Media Services:
Helping to pioneer remote video productions for the video scoreboards at Huskie Stadium and Convo. The first ever "video scoreboard production" experiment was done in the late 1990s at Chick Evans Field House with three cameras and a student crew. What followed was a video scoreboard production that measures up to any in the nation.
How Media Services employment helped your career:
There is a lot to be learned at Media Services that you won't find in a college classroom or textbook. It definitely elevated my career to a different level.
