Years Employed:
     • Undergrad: 1996 – 1998
     • Freelance: August 1998 – March 2002
     • Full Time: April 2002 – Present

What are you doing now:
I am the Video Coordinator/Director of the Convocation Center and Media Services at Northern Illinois University. I was also named director of video board operations at Huskie Stadium for the 2004 season. In addition, I have been doing freelance work for the Chicago White Sox video board operations since 1999. I worked the 2004 All-Star game and the 2005 World Series at Comiskey Park.

Fond memory of Media Services:
I loved working for Media Services and that is a big reason why I still work here today. Some of my best memories include working on the coaches shows at Altgeld Hall, going on road trips with the football and basketball teams, and editing the football and basketball highlight videos under Brad Hoey.

How Media Services employment helped your career:
I owe my career to Media Services. Media Services helped guide me to become a director and producer in sports broadcast. I was able to get real-world skills in video production that I could not get in the classroom. Media Services prepared me with professional experiences that you normally don’t get in an internship or even your first job. Most importantly, I met people who are still friends of mine today, who work in the video production or broadcast industry.
