At a recognition program sponsored by the President's Commission on Persons with Disabilities and the Center for Access-Ability Resources (CAAR) held on May 1, 2007, Keith Bisplinghoff was presented with a certificate of recognition for his efforts in the Provost Sponsored Smart Classrooms.
Keith was nominated by Access-Ability Coordinator Jenifer Montag who wrote, "Keith has been instrumental in providing classroom access for students with visual impairments in Smart Classrooms. Through his involvement, he has been able to advocate for new technology to assist students in viewing the materials that is played through the computer systems. Furthermore, Keith has been very accommodating in ensuring the accessibility equipment is placed in the rooms for students."
Keith advocated for Media Services to purchase several special monitors that allow greater magnification of course materials. He placed these on special carts that can be moved from room to room depending on the need. Also recognized at the ceremony was Media Services Director, Dr. Jay M. Orbik.
